About Us

Our journey began in December 2016 after my fiancée Tania and her cousin Eddie toured a few breweries in Rancho Cucamonga. I thought the breweries were cool and I began to envision what my brewery would look like if I had one. Eddie explained to me that a lot of the people who open breweries start brewing in their garage. I had no idea you could brew beer at home. I did not know anything about how beer was made or anything about beer styles. My only knowledge of beer was either “dark" or “light" beer. After that day I started to research how to brew beer and how to open a brewery. My first homebrew batch was in March 2017, and we opened Feathered Serpent Brewery in July 2019.

When I had the vision for the brewery, I envisioned murals and art on the walls. My vision was to share Chicano (Mexican American) culture through craft beer. The name Feathered Serpent is translated from the name Quetzalcoatl. Quetzalcoatl was an Aztec and Mayan deity who was the creator of all. His feathers gave him the ability to fly and enter different realms and his serpent body gave him the ability to move on earth and interact with humans. Quetzalcoatl appears on many Mesoamericans architecture, and I felt he would represent our breweries vision.
